La Dama grew with Peggy Magister’s guidance and encouragement. Her experience in the kitchen and her support for Chef Corona helped make this restaurant possible.
For more than twenty years, Peggy and Corona worked side by side, from The Fork Café to Crazy Water and then La Dama. In his tribute, he remembered a relationship that had become family: the lessons she shared, their conversations, and the care she showed him and his children.
